1. ABOUT MY GRIEF GURU

My Grief Guru is a patient advocacy and healthcare navigation organization providing non-clinical support services to individuals and families navigating complex medical journeys. Our services include medical liaison support, care coordination, healthcare navigation, end-of-life support, caregiver education, and integrative wellness guidance.

MGG is headquartered in South Texas and serves clients in the Rio Grande Valley region and virtually across the United States.

2. NOT MEDICAL ADVICE — IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER

MY GRIEF GURU IS NOT A MEDICAL PROVIDER, LICENSED THERAPIST, OR CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL. OUR SERVICES DO NOT CONSTITUTE MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENT, OR THERAPY.

Specifically:

- Nothing communicated by MGG staff, advocates, or through our website should be interpreted as medical advice or a substitute for professional medical care

- MGG does not prescribe medications, order tests, or make clinical treatment decisions

- MGG advocates help you understand information and navigate systems — all medical decisions remain between you and your licensed healthcare providers

- MGG's integrative wellness and emotional support services are supportive in nature and are not a substitute for licensed mental health treatment

3. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCEPTANCE

By using our website or engaging our services, you represent that:

- You are at least 18 years of age, or you are a parent or legal guardian engaging services on behalf of a minor

- You have the legal authority to enter into this agreement

- All information you provide to us is accurate and complete

- You will use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms

4. SERVICES

Service Agreements

Specific services, fees, scope, and duration will be outlined in a separate Service Agreement or Engagement Letter provided to you prior to the start of services. These Terms govern your general use of our website and services, while the Service Agreement governs the specific terms of your individual engagement.

Service Categories

MGG offers the following categories of services (subject to availability and individual service agreements):

- Medical Liaison Services — attending appointments, translating medical information, care coordination

- Medical Advocacy — reviewing records, explaining diagnoses and treatment options

- Healthcare Navigation — insurance navigation, hospital coordination, community resources

- Medical Companion Services — emotional and logistical support during medical experiences

- End-of-Life and Death Doula Support — life review, advance care planning, bereavement support

- Integrative Wellness and Emotional Support — breathwork, meditation, expressive arts, somatic practices

- Caregiver Support and Education — burnout prevention, training, and group support

- Digital Platform Services (future) — patient-owned health record management (subject to additional terms)

Service Limitations

MGG reserves the right to decline or discontinue services to any individual at our discretion. We may refer clients to more appropriate resources if a need falls outside our scope of practice.

5. FEES AND PAYMENT

Fees for MGG services are set forth in your individual Service Agreement.

General payment terms include:

- Payment is due as specified in your Service Agreement (monthly subscription, package payment, or per-session)

- Late payments may result in a pause or discontinuation of services

- Refund policies, if applicable, are specified in your individual Service Agreement

All billing information is transmitted and stored securely using industry-standard encryption.

6. CONFIDENTIALITY

MGG treats all client information, including health-related information you share with us, as strictly confidential.

Our team members are bound by confidentiality obligations. We will not disclose your information to third parties except:

- With your explicit written authorization

- When required by law or court order

- When necessary to prevent serious harm to you or others

- To trusted service providers operating under confidentiality agreements

7. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

To receive the full benefit of MGG services, you agree to:

- Provide accurate and complete information about your health situation and needs

- Communicate openly and honestly with your MGG advocate

- Notify MGG promptly of changes in your health status, care team, or goals

- Maintain appointments and provide reasonable advance notice if cancellation is needed

- Understand that MGG supports but does not replace your relationship with your licensed healthcare providers

- Treat MGG staff and advocates with respect

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, educational materials, and the MGG brand, are the property of My Grief Guru, LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our express written permission.

9. WEBSITE USE

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes.

You may not:

- Use our website in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law

- Transmit unsolicited commercial communications

- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our website or systems

- Use our website to collect information about other users without consent

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MY GRIEF GURU, LLC, ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, ADVOCATES, AND CONTRACTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of our services or website

- Medical decisions made by you or your healthcare providers, even where MGG provided navigation or advocacy support

- Any loss or damage arising from reliance on information provided through our website or services

- Interruption or errors in our website or digital services

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid to MGG in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

11. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless My Grief Guru, LLC and its team members from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of our services or website, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. TERMINATION

Either party may terminate a service engagement in accordance with the terms of the applicable Service Agreement. MGG reserves the right to terminate access to our website or services immediately, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other clients, our staff, or our organization.

13. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Hidalgo County, Texas, in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.

14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on our website with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any applicable Service Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and My Grief Guru regarding your use of our website and services, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
